NEW ASOG GUIDE! ASO Professional Standards

ASOG Members,

One of our goals as a professional group is to fill a void, i.e., start documenting and formalizing our global profession, something that is way overdue.

Attached is one of our first efforts to put thoughts on paper to advance our profession. This guide intends to establish a basic professional baseline regarding general professional expectations, attitude, and standards, i.e., it's no different than what other global professions have, e.g., nurses, professional pilots, police officers, accountants, etc.

I would like to give a big Thank You to the following members who participated in the Professional Standards Guide Working Group. They took time out of their busy schedules and volunteered their experience and knowledge to better the ASO profession, Good On You!

  • Georg J. De Cock, ISR Sensor, and Operations SME
  • Michael Sheehy, Special Mission SME (MARSUR & SAR)
  • Joshua T. Cohen, Open Source Intelligence, Analysis and Research SME

Please take the time and read the guide & add it to your professional library.

Cheers!
