Learning Opportunities!

As a professional ASO or members who want to explore and learn about other remote-sensing industry sectors or improve on your current skill-set, here are three organizations that provide online learning or training events. O’…ASOG is not affiliated with any of these organizations, just good old fashion networking and sharing information or opportunities.

Sensefly – Education Tab:  (For-Profit/Commercial) If you can get past the commercial aspect of their Education program, they appear to have good information on basic unmanned commerical aerial remote-sensing operations, tactics, techniques and procedures.

Airborne Public Safety Association – Events Tab:  (Non-Profit/Public Safety) If you scrawl through events, you’ll see a number of training programs related to public safety aviation safety, unmanned ops, Tactical Flight Officer training etc. Side note, you might have to be a member to tap into all their resources or programs.

Association of Old Crows – Programs Tab: (Non-Profit/Defense & Security) If you interested in electronic warfare, the AOC provides a robust program of courses, webinars etc. Again, you might have to be a member to tap into all their resources.

If you know of any good organizations that provide either online training or other courses that can help the professional development of Airborne Sensor Operators, let us know.

Happy Learning!
